Smith (2009) states that “this advisory group would be made up of appropriate subject experts from across universities, crown research institutes and other science organisations including consultancies, [and] … could play both an operational role (during events) and a strategic role for planning science activities” (p. 76). The current advisory structure of the CPVAG, TVSAG, and CAG reflect a similar advisory process (Jolly and Smith 2012).
